- The Glaucoma
This eye disease is usually caused by a Increased intraocular pressure, known by its acronym PIO.
This causes damage to the optic nerve, which can trigger, sometimes from progressive and sometimes suddenly, in loss of vision (blindness)

According to the Spanish Glaucoma Society, this ocular pathology is, together with diabetes, the main preventable cause of blindness
